Ivor's Letters 1918

Towards the end of World War One after convalescing in England, Ivor Williams received several letters from a female friend back in 'Blighty'.

There was no name placed on the envelopes, only his number, unit and these sketches.

It is interesting to see that on the first ones, he was depicted as an angel, but later, the devil. I wonder what he got up to on the second leave??
The wording on the 'devil' letters were:-

"Boys! Shun Ivor Williams,
His soul he imperils,
Once head of the saints,
He's now King of the Devils!"
